7 Things on our 2018 Bucket List

We've done some amazing things in the last 2 1/2 years of full-time travel and crossed a bunch off our bucket list. Like.. swim with Great White Sharks, hot air balloon in Turkey, sleep in a castle, take cooking classes in Paris, watch a European Soccer Match..

But it's funny - the more we travel, the more our bucket list seems to grow.  Here's a few things at the top of our 2018 Bucket List

1. Join the Circus at Club Med Punta Cana

Did you see The Greatest Showman?  Were you ready to up and join the circus?  Yea, us too.  Deep down I've had a dream to be an acrobat and now it's time to make all my wildest dreams come true.  And Dorothy spends half her day upside down anyway, so we'll make it a full-family affair.

We're excited to be partnering with Club Med in Punta Cana that has a really cool experience called Club Med CREACTIVE by Cirque du Soleil where you can do activities like the trapeze, ariel silk, tightrope and the trampoline.  There's also activities like dancing, mask painting, juggling and dance.

Going to an all-inclusive resort like Club Med that takes care of everything from A-Z is just a breath of fresh air for me.  The kids are in heaven with pools and kids clubs and Garrett and I have some time to ourselves.  There's also Baby Club Med for babies as young as 4 months old.  So baby Calihan will be in great hands as well and we all win.

Club Med is currently hosting a sweepstakes where they're be giving away an all-inclusive vacation.  Enter now here for your chance to win.  Sweepstakes closes March 9, 2018.

2. Go to the World Cup

Добро пожаловать в Россию!  Garrett and I met in Vladivostok, Russia 10 years ago.  We haven't been back together.  What better excuse to go back than the 2018 FIFA World Cup!?  We're all big soccer, fans over here.  Garrett played through college.  We've had the opportunity to go to some European soccer matches during out travels and it's AMAZING to see soccer.. I mean football around the world.  We American's have no idea what a culture/religion it is around the world.  So I doing my very best to get tickets (email me if you have any hookups!)

3. Dive with Tiger Sharks

We have a deep love for the ocean.  We're planning a trip to the Bahamas to dive with Tiger Sharks.  Andy Murch, a wonderful underwater photographer has an upcoming expedition to spend a week among the sharks at Tiger Beach.  We've dove with lots of different sharks before - bull sharks, lemon sharks, nurse sharks, gray sharks, hammerheads.. but never tigers!  We're SO excited.

4. Visit Iguazu Falls

We've never been to Brazil.  We've been SO excited to visit and have so many things we'd like to do there. At the top of the list is a visit to Iguazu Falls.  The falls is on the border of Brazil and Argentina and is absolutely one of the world's most spectacular wonders.  We're planning to stay at nearby Belmond Hotel das Cataratas

5. Watch The Great Migration in Africa

One of the most memorable moments during our family travels so far was going on safari in South Africa.  It was incredible and we've been SO anxious to get back and see other countries and safaris in Africa.  We are planning to visit Tanzania during The Great Migration where thousands of wildebeest and zebra herd across the Serengetti. We're thrilled to be able to visit TAASA and enjoy some night drives. They also have wonderful children's care services available.

6. Attend the Bumthang Festival in Bhutan

Bhutan is one of the world's most unique countries with still much of their ancient traditions and culture in tact.  This Buddhist Kingdom is known to have some of the most stunning landscapes, unique cultural experiences and isn't a very easy (or inexpensive) place to visit.  The opportunity to visit Bhutan is a privilege and we are making sure to pair it with the Bumthang Festival.  We love coordinating our travels with cultural activities and holidays.  It gives you such a special glimpse into the culture.

7. Sail Around the Greek Isles

Each year we try to do at least one trip without our kids.  It's something we look forward to as a couple and we think it's great for our marriage.  We've traveled to French Polynesia and sailed around on a catamaran.  It is one of our absolute favorite ways to travel.  This time, we are planning on chartering a catamaran around the Greek Isles.  When we charter a boat, we book it with a captain (we don't know how to sail ourselves) and a hostess.  This makes for such a wonderful trip where you can enjoy all the sun and water play.
